Aghadoe Heights Hotel is a haven of gracious elegance, a treasure chest of antiques and an example of contemporary design, all combined with Irish charm. A luxurious spa and a fine restaurant overlooking the lakes of Killarney. The hotel prides itself on its personal service and its ability to combine the luxuries of an international hotel with the touches of a country home. It truly has one of the finest views in all Europe.

Play golf at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club (Killeen Course)
Travel time is approx. 10 mins
The flagship of Killarney's Golf & Fishing Club's three courses, Killeen is truly one of the greatest parkland courses in the country. It certainly challenges the longest of hitters and with water on almost every hole accuracy is essential. Killeen played host to the Carroll's Irish Open in both 1991 and 1992, and proved to be a stern test for the Pro's. Nick Faldo triumphed both years. Killarney also hosted the Curtis Cup in 1996. Located in an area of outstanding beauty, overlooking the Lakes of Killarney and with the panoramic McGillycuddy Reeks mountain range in the background, the experience is breathtaking.
Non golfers may find it difficult to pull themselves away from the luxury and spa facilities of their hotel so this is what we do recommend for the day.

Golf at Tralee Golf Club
Travel time is approx. 1 hr
Opened in October 1984 Tralee Golf Course was the first European golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. When he first saw the area upon which his company was to build Tralee golf links, he was ecstatic about the possibilities. "I have never come across a piece of land so ideally suited for the building of a golf course" he said.
Non golfers may like to explore Killarney town and visit Muckross House and Gardens a few miles from town and this journey by jaunting cart is a novel way to go.

Golf at Waterville Golf Links
Travel time is approx. 1 hr 30 mins
Waterville Golf Links is situated on the tip of the Iveragh Peninsula that makes up the Ring of Kerry, Waterville lies along the shores of Ballinskellig Bay. It is both the longest and most remote of the Irish championship links - not that visitors are asked to play its full 7,200 yards. The forward tees make it somewhat less exacting, but certainly not easy, in conditions which can vary from a gentle sea breeze to a near gale.
We recommend non golfer tag along for the day as the Ring of Kerry is a spectacular sightseeing trip, while the golfers play Waterville you may like to walk the course or amble around the village with lunch in The Anglers Rest for traditional Irish menu. After golf it is advisable to return to Killarney by continuing around the Ring to fully appreciate the beauty of Kerry.

Play Old Course at Ballybunion Golf Club
Travel time is approx. 1 hr 25 mins
The 'Old Course' at Ballybunion is world famous and is consistently rated amongst the top ten courses in the world. A magnificent course with several holes right on the shore and towering sand dunes coming into play on all. One of Ireland's greatest golfing challenges it regularly receives golfing accolades from all over the world.
Non golfers may enjoy an organized day tour through the Gap of Dunloe which is traveled by horse and cart and a boat trip back to Ross Castle near Killarney, quite a special day indeed.
Sightseeing and shopping
Final day in Killarney is free to enjoy some sightseeing and shopping in The Kingdom of Kerry. One sightseeing suggestions we can make is the Gap of Dunloe Tour. The Gap of Dunloe is a wild and rugged gap excavated by forging ice flows during the last ice age. It is an area of outstanding beauty and visitors can walk it or enjoy a boat trip or pony and trap ride making their experience a truly unique and memorable one. Enjoy some refreshments or a pint of Guinness in Kate Kearney's Cottage afterwards.
